Monkey Joe returns at last! It's been nearly a decade since I originally recorded an incredibly stupid yet amusing song titled "The Unfortunate Monkey Joe" (listen to the original version here). It's a jazzy little calypso style number all about a monkey named Joe who just doesn't know where to go to find a tasty banana. He may just get upset enough to do something rash, in the way that a monkey does best...

This newer version is about twice as long as the original, with far better recording quality thanks to my new studio mic. The singing is better this time around, in my opinion, and there's just a bit more going on in general. I skipped out on doing a grocery run I'd had planned to waste my afternoon putting this silly thing together instead! :P

Anyway, this tune features yours truly on vocals, Native American flute, and monkey noises.
