Crocodile Tears (Revisited)

Crocodile Tears (Revisited)

Lanovran

I first composed this song shortly after Steve Irwin died back in 2006. In honor of Steve's lasting memory and impact on the world of wildlife conservation, I wanted to do a fresh recording of it to share. It was never meant to be a sad song, but rather a celebration of his boundless enthusiasm for the animals that he loved, and loved to teach the world about. Ten years after his death, this song still moves me every time I play it.

This song is played on my low Dm redwood drone flute, made by Geoffrey Ellis.

Gorgeous sounding flute and beautiful piece! A very lovely tribute to Steve Irwin. Steve greatly influenced my life and inspired me in becoming a wildlife biologist.
