Where did all of your art go?

Basically, this person used backgrounds for their artwork commissions that were copyrighted to other people. There's a lot of solid documented evidence of this, so this isn't some bold accusation, it's a fact. People paid money for their backgrounds in commissions, on multiple occasions, which were not their property, and that's why they're not on FA anymore.
Please note that, I'm not saying they're a bad person, but they made a huge mistake that hurt a lot of people. It would be unfair of me to pass judgement and call them a bad person because I don't know them personally. I'm simply here stating the facts.
Perhaps they ought to start with a huge public apology, especially to the people whose backgrounds they stole, as well as refunding every person who paid for a background they were supposed to make, but instead took and threw in a photoshop filter, and then said was theirs.
