Hopeless by FurryJackman

Just hopeless.

I've asked every single local fursuit making professional locally about repairing my broken suit and they've ALL said no.

My warranty is void, and I sure as hell am not sending this out of province or to the US.

Utterly hopeless. I have absolutely no hope left.

Edit: My mom, who was one of the last non-professionals to try to help said she's "taking no critiques" and "no revisions." Artists have to take critiques and revisions, this gives me even less hope.

Edit #2: She fixed the wig, but is taking as long as she wants to finish the rest up until VF. I'm just afraid she'll take till the last minute.

Hopeless

Have you thought about fixing it yourself?

There's a great community for that:

I have terrible dexterity with a needle. I just want it done then learn as I go on needed repairs after it's fully complete.

what precisely broke if you dont mind me asking?

Previous modifier that shall remain unnamed opened up the top seam of the mask to get his needle through for a patch to remove 1cm cosmetically from the top of the mask. It was in place at a local con Howloween but then it needed shape revisions to the fur pattern. He undid the current patch and called it a night the 2nd Tuesday after Howl. This left my suit with a gash along the seam that was opened. When I asked for him to go to my best friend's house the next Tuesday, he got high on acid, came anyways and vandalized my best friend's house. The point was to cosmetically patch the extra material cause there was too much mask material near the top seam.

hmm. I would just try to hand stitch it back together. If it's on a form, you can just simply use hot glue to keep the fur attached to the face. I've never dealt with sewn heads before, but I understand they're a pain to make and take care of. I'm personally a fan of glued heads on hard forms. Or even foam forms are nice too.

No. No hot glue. The original maker tried to do a hot glue patch and it started peeling off right after a convention. I'm so much in favor of stitched together patches. I've had a modifier before the high one over-use hot glue and leave strings of it inside the balaclava without cleaning it up.

I don't have the skills to do it. Plus I just want a finished product before I consider any DIY. The product isn't finished. Plus my warranty is void cause my original maker never ever wants to talk to me ever again.

aah. well. I'm not sure then. All my heads are industrial hot glued and can be washed in a washing machine or left in a car that's over 200 degrees.. so.. not sure what kind of advice to give.

It's foam with stitching and tiny amounts of hot glue. I've asked everyone of the professional suit makers locally and they've all said no.
