I was making grilled cheese sandwiches earlier and.....................forgot I was making them when I walked away for a short time. I had an incredibly TOASTY side of one of my sandwiches! XD (But at least not burnt enough to set off the smoke alarm or anything...............)

I have made silly errors before. Usually of lesser consequence, though. Such as putting my phone in the refrigerator or an empty cup instead of the bottle/jug of juice/milk. Sometimes attempting to pour a drink onto my plate instead of in my cup.
