Hello everyone, transferred my stuff over from FA today and man do I love this site! I can add a rating to my journal and search through other's journals! How cool is that?
I love the notification system, how people's profiles look, I could really get used to this!
If I open up commissions soon you can be sure I'm going to use Weasyl to do it.
I love that I can have a banner, I hope I get the hang of how to use it properly soon lol My page is a bit of a mess! Hope no one minds.
Maybe I'll commission a banner pic soon, which is kind of awesome because it opens up a whole new kind of commission: Banner commissions! I would LOVE to see every page with a personalized banner, for instance Gillpanda has a pretty badass one (How do I link people's profiles via icons? lol)
Anyways, enjoying things here, hope you are as well. I'm excited to use Weasyl MUCH more often from now on

Wow, thank you! That's super cool of you to explain things like that :D I hope I learn quick, I want to make this site my main in due time. Hopefully more furries feels the same, I think they will as time goes on.
Man, the journal feature is cool, I love reading through the newest journals. I feel like I'm getting to know people around here thanks to that

You can find all the info you need for formatting text HERE! They always have a link to the Markdown formatting page next to the "Submit Comment" button, just in case you forget what goes where when you want to format a comment. While Markdown is quite a bit different than what most other sites use, I personally find it much easier to remember than HTML and BBCode off the top of my head, and HTML codes also still work if you have a preference for that format.
As for linking to other profiles specifically, you have three ways to do it :
Text Only: <~ MabelSyrup> without the space becomes MabelSyrup
MabelSyrup
Icon Only: <! MabelSyrup> without the space becomes
Text + Icon: Combine them both! <!~ MabelSyrup> becomes
It's really cool to hear you're enjoying Weasyl so far! I've been using this site as my main for a good while now, and I really just love how it looks and feels as a gallery, even while still being a beta website. One of my favourite things to do in my off time is browse through journals and see what people have to say, which is how I found your journal! You also reminded me that I should probably try to paint up a banner for my profile... It's looking pretty bare, now that I look at it. Oops. x3
