How do you Commission? by ilbv

I'm really curious about how you guys go about your commissioning method.

Particularly about how you describe what you want.

Do you get every detail written down?

Do you draw a rough version of what you're imagining for the artist to build off of?

Do you let the artist take your given refs and just go at it in their own way?

I'm looking to better my commissioning game and I'd love some tips.

You need to creat a price sheet with each kind of art you do and don't. And what kind of payment do you accept.

I usually think of the scenario for a while beforehand so i have a clear picture of the situation. Then i describe it to the artist i choose and then let them work from my idea but leave many details up to them. I like to see what the artist does with my description.
