Oooooh yeah, gardening is hard. Now I remember. by Malachyte

So yesterday I'm all, "Yeah, I'll just get my plants started in their pots and then stream the rest of the day, no big deal, easy peasy!" Then I remembered that no, gardening is still a lot of work, just like last year and the year before, lol. I had to clean all my pots, figure out what I'm planting where and when and how, then write down what's in each spot so I don't lose track. I also have a yard this year, and a little spot of actual in-the-ground garden in it. Fantastic indeed, but that also meant I had to til all the ground, mix in the new soil nutrients, make mounds, then plant in that, too!

My back hurts a TON now, and I also have a blister riiiiiiight where I hold my pencil/pen, ha ha. So I'm just going to call it a day and try to doodle later tonight. Comic stream day will be moved to tomorrow. Sorry!

For anyone curious, I decided to plant--
Dahlia flowers
Chives
Green onions
Spinach (regular and heirloom variety)
Pole beans
Peppermint
Oregano
Cilantro
Thyme
Parsley (flat and curly leaf)
Basil
Sweet bell peppers
Hungarian wax peppers

It sounds like a lot, but I'm only planting 1-3 of each.

Oooooh yeah, gardening is hard. Now I remember.

I was going to garden today. I couldn't figure out what I wanted. We have been growing a Jalepeno plant all winter and now it's about 3ft+ tall!. So we planted that. Our strawberries are growing. I know we getting a blueberry bush and some toms. Other then that I can't decide! Oh, and some lovage herb.

I can't decide on anything else. I know I should plant more herbs and stuff.. but... I want to get them started inside and plant them outside.

I recommend planting things that taste better fresh vs. dried. Like basil is no good dried, and buying it fresh is pricey, so that would go on my planting list. Dried rosemary is too spiky and woody, so I prefer fresh there as well. Maybe that would help narrow it down for you?

Well just got some starters. Got Oregon Toms, Sugar snap peas, chives, and pumpkins as of right now. Oh! And some more strawberries! I want to get some lovage and cucumbers though! I have not decided what else. Maybe some more herbs? I have like 12 more seed starters I can use!
