My one main issue with Weasyl's UI... by firebreath

You know, in the submissions list of your watched artists' page...
The "select all" button is on the right of the "remove selected" button.
On the interactions (journals, comments, etc...) page, it's on the right (which makes more sense).

I really would love for them to swap the buttons' positions on the submissions page to make it more in-line with the interactions page, and more intuitive (unless you're from a country that reads right-to-left).

I really wish you could disable the JavaScript alerts entirely. The pits!

Those I can deal with, but I do agree with you on that one.
I just find UI mistakes/lack of cohesion more frustrating than an extra click, I guess. :P

That's odd because I've never seen any JavaScript alerts?

        What browser are you using?

Personally, Chrome 41.0.2272.101 which is the latest at the time of writing this comment.

Odd o.O I am using the same. I only see an SSL caution.

              Ah well. **pats**
              You're a special foxy. :P

                What can I say, I'm faultless. ;)

The inconsistency throws me off every time. See also "Invert Selection" vs "Check All" and "Uncheck All"...

    • Link

See, the "invert selection" makes sense to me; if you have everything selected, it's akin to "uncheck all". If you have nothing selected, it's a "check all".
And if you want to invert your selection, well... XD

That one, to me, works very well. But indeed, the inconsistency is a wee tad annoying. :X
But I can deal with it. (I'd still like them to change that though)

Oh, I know how they all work; it's just the inconsistency that throws me off every time. Either one paradigm or the other, please :P

          Aaaaaaaaah. Gotcha!
Yeah, that I can totally relate.
