Question for people who do commissions/YCHs by BlitBitkin

So - when I have the money again, I'd like to buy art commissions. There's a problem, though - the characters I want to see people draw are usually the multi-limbed ones I'm fond of, and I've never felt comfortable asking anyone to draw those. A lot of people seem turned off or weirded out by them. And, of course, taking part in a YCH or one of those big group "your character at this party" sort of things is out of the question when all the outlines are the usual basically-humanoid shape.

So far I've just stayed quiet, but it's been such a thorn in my side for a long time that I wanted to air the problem here and see what other people thought of taking commissions outside their comfort zone. Thoughts?

I think that's one of those things that you'd have to ask each artist about that you want to commission. Might have to jump out of your own comfort zone, but it doesn't really hurt to ask or anything.

I've not usually seen people take a lot of issue with it on my end. I don't think you have much to worry about by checking. :3

Hopefully that's a helpful answer. If not, apologies!

I'd be excited to take on multilimbed commissions. I'll even draw a freebie. Let me know! :)

As far as I can tell there are plenty of artists who are fine drawing multilimbed characters to a degree, even in YCHs sometimes. I think the problem is that past a certain number of extras, it gets to a territory which requires custom anatomy that the artist might find too troublesome to be worth taking the commission.

I intend to open for comms sometime soon and I'll be willing to tackle multifurs if you're interested
