See you all next year! by Sparkyopteryx

I suppose the end of the year calls for a bit of a status report, eh? Got my standard art summary posted, and looking back this year I'm actually pretty pleased with where my art is going. I need to be more gung-ho and ambitious about it so I can really make some serious leaps and bounds. Also, I got not one but two different art programs for Christmas this year (ArtRage and Autodesk Sketchbook Pro), so I'm a little overwhelmed at the options in front of me. I'm also going on an art supply binge at Nevada Fine Arts with my Christmas money (maybe I'll do that tomorrow...). There is no such thing as too many art supplies.

My partner Mister Midnight and I will also be trying to post more as story collaborators in 2013. We make a great team, so make sure to stay tuned! We'll be writing in a couple up-and-coming stories as well, which will be posted either on his Weasyl account or mine (we haven't decided yet).

Financially and personally....this year has not been terribly good to us and especially me, although the other half got a job in October so there's that. I'm really hoping that this new year will be much better for us. I would like my commissions and art in general to be more successful, which is why I'm going to try to make more original art that will be for sale, so make sure to keep an eye out on my galleries for pieces that will be up for grabs.

My feelings are too garbled for me to make sense of how I think about the New Year. All I can say is, we will see. I guess as long as I have my art, good friends and my partner in crime, I'll be peachy.

See you all next year!

Let's hit this new year like an enraged Foley punch-out!

Never too many supplies, nope! Infact.. I could use more.

Also, I've had very little experience with Artrage myself but Sketcbook Pro is actually a pretty fantastic program.

It's pretty basic if I remember correctly, I mainly used it for sketching but a fantastic program like stated.

Have a great new year, hope it's good to you. :P

I used the smaller and much less useful Sketchbook Express that came with my Bamboo tablet, but with my brief foray into that program I found I liked the interface a lot, so I think I'll probably really like the Pro version. I was messing around with ArtRage on Christmas for a little while and I gotta say, I love how natural the tools look and feel (that's pretty important for me, being a traditional artist). Got any good tips or suggestions as far as features go with the Sketchbook Pro program? I'm pretty in the dark when it comes to digital media. XD

Did you get any Christmas money from relatives? If you did, blow it on art supplies!

We got sudden bad news yesterday, so here's hoping the New Year will still be a decent one.

Hum, not really sure how I could help, haven't used Sketchbook Pro in quite some time.

Also I did enjoy that about Artrage, I know one thing I had with it was my tablet didn't seem

to function properly with it and it was quite frustrating so I dumped it. Which was a shame.

I did get some Christmas money but that went to dinner and a movie with the Boyfriend. <3

Oh dear, hope it wasn't too terrible and everything is alright. :c

Alright, that's a pretty important thing to use Christmas money on, so I can forgive you.

Well, I hate going into details when it comes to negativity in my life, but basically it involves suddenly less financial stability in my house. lol

            Your forgiveness is accepted. :P

Ooooh, yea. Financial stability is forever an issue for most people.

I'm in that boat with you there, can only hope said issues resolve

            swiftly!
