I have a similar view, which unfortunately I don't always follow on some sites (just look at my "friends" list on Steam, and you'll find that most of my "Friends" there are people I've spoken to once via text chat).
Most of the time, I don't even know how to get to know someone online, though in your case I wish I did.

Same here x.x its like my steam and skype list. Folks add me and half the time I do add them back cause of a brief meeting and end up never receiving a single word after that.
