WOO, so I managed to score a wide-angle f/1.8 lens from Ebay last night for half its value, because the seller mysteriously listed it that way as the buy now price (I guess they needed the money immediately). Unfortunately, it's a Nikon mount, so I'll have to sacrifice autofocus in order to use the adapter to put it on my Canon, but I'm pretty stoked to get it attached to my camera.

Now, originally I was going to upgrade my stupid baby Canon T3 body (I knew nothing about DSLRs when I bought one, sob) to a 60D, but I'm thinking now that I should save up more and get a 5D Mark II for around $1500. Of course, this probably means I definitely won't have a new camera body before FC (unless a christmas miracle happens, then I'll give you blowies 4 lyfe), but I guess it's worth it since the difference between a 5D and a 1100D is wayyyy more significant than an upgrade from 1100D to 60D.

OH, ALSO, MFF. THAT WAS A FUCKIN' BLAST AND A HALF. I'm really looking forward to putting the film out for this one, I really feel like I've stepped up my game here. I'm only putting the release date as the 19th because I'll need some time to work on finals, but hopefully it'll be out there in the wilderness soon.
