Anthrocon, Bird Critters, etc! by Nambroth
ANTHROCON. It is in about a month. Begin artist-panic time!
I plan on bringing something new to Anthrocon this year, and am taking requests. Lately I have been making bird critters... these are one of a kind hand sculpted "soft sculptures". I think it would be great to have a whole PILE of them on my table in the dealer's room, for sale!!

Right now I am only making them in one flavor: BIRD.
If you are going to AC and have a specific bird type you'd like to see, please let me know! These take a while to make and I can not hope to fulfill everyone's request, so please limit requests to something you'd really like to see! I will consider them. :D
Along those lines, if there is anything specifically you'd like to see from me at Anthrocon, just let me know! I now begin a month long frantic preparation, while still fulfilling a few other non-AC deadlines and projects. And gardening like crazy! Life, slow down, gosh.

I can't go to Anthrocon (maybe someday!!) but I'm sure you'll have a good time! 8D The bird critters sound cool.

As for some birds....how about some parrots? Budgies and tiels are always popular but really, there's hundreds of species you could choose from xD

Would seriously love to see a greater hornbill and more chickens, I know I'd love to pick one up if money permits!
I'm also sure my partner would go nuts if you had blue budgies and some cockatiels or coturnix quails

You need to make Red-tailed Hawks. Make more than one so I can get one as Arrow Quivershaft will probably get to it before I do. BTW your link is showing a 404 error.

I am not sure if I will have time to make more than one of any given bird, they take quite a long time to make, I will see what happens. :)

A golden eagle would be rad!
You could capitalize with some gryphons though, there are like no gryphon plushes out there anywhere aside from the WoW gryphons in crests and whatnot. I'd probably consider buying a gryphon one

Peacocks would hard to do in their full splendor as I do not know of a way to pull off iridescence in faux fur, but I will brainstorm!

Using a tipped fur? Maybe keatah's fur choices would help?

I was thinking iridescent tinsel, or something else you could sort of weave in? Beads?

I am not going to AC alas but I would still throw fistfuls of money at you for a tiny juicy eyed vulture of any kind. Or condor. Or hornbill. Or kingfisher. Or peckwooder. Or duck. Or... any of like two dozen other random birds. Because HOMF I LOVE BIRD.
