A personal update, of a sorts. by Sparkyopteryx

I know I've been a bit distant from here on a more social scale, and for that I apologize. I've been devoting most of my time to finishing that major commission project, but now that it's finished I can move on; I can get some of these unfinished concept sheets done so I can submit them, and start up on a trade finally. Also, I've been developing my headworld Alteir with a bit more concrete dedication lately, so expect fantasy world noodlery and related soon (I even made folders for 'em.). Also I haven't forgotten that fantasy creature poll for my next project, I'm just trying to decide in what direction to take it in...

Of course, this'll be done between commissions that I'm opening for the month of June, then in the beginning of July I'm heading off to Alaska to visit the brother, sister-in-law and niece. Because when the summer gets hot, it's time to go to Anchorage and stay in a yurt. Freakin' stoked, and I'll make sure to bring my sketchbook.

How has spring been treating all of you? Hope everyone has been doing well lately!

I know how it feels to finish a huge commission that has taken forever. (did one I agonized over for almost a year) Definitely puts a damper on drawing mood/motivation. Looking forward to you catching up on the arts you should have been producing.

And once again, thank you so much for the work you've done for me! All of it! <3

I almost always seem to go through a funk in the beginning of the year, for whatever reason. And yeah, even when you really want to do something, it can be hard to push through that barrier, especially in the beginning stages. Although I've found that having a big project I work on between smaller stuff is good for me, so I might make a habit of that, haha.

Don't mention it! I enjoyed creating them all.
