Also.. Anyone else come across a user on there that throws a fit over getting pinged? They're literally all over the forums and just..blocks people outright if they ping them, scolding everyone beforehand. The more times I see this happen the funnier it gets pffftttt

In other news ~ My mom has been home since Friday and is doing great! She's been up and pretty much getting back to normal after only a week. The visiting nurse came yesterday and didn't even think my mom was the patient haha. She's not in pain nor is she bed-ridden, and besides the leg that they took the vein out of she's been pretty good.

If anyone has been keeping up with the news, there have been some VA hospital scandals going on that is the reason they refused to let my mom out of the hospital for a week longer than she should have. Pretty much people have died waiting to get treatment at various VA hospitals and my mom's doctor's assistant basically said that the doctor wanted to keep her there until he was sure nothing would come back on him if anything went wrong. Which sounds reasonable, but they fucking lied to us about it.

If they would have just stated that as the reason then her staying longer would be easier to deal with (every nurse pretty much said she'd be home after 4 or 5 days, and instead they kept her for 8). Instead they pretty much tortured her while she was there: They tried to say she had pneumonia when she didn't, they cited her high blood count as a reason to keep her longer despite the fact that she did not have an infection and it was simply her body healing itself and the fact that she was pissed off being forced to stay there (they didn't do anything for the white cell count so obviously it wasn't a big deal), and every time she asked the doctor a question he outright ignored her. No one would tell her anything 'cept for the assistant the day before she came home (he pretty much got her the fuck out of there).

My mom spent the week in the hospital crying and miserable. I mean, fuck, you'd think the doctor of all people would answer your questions and try to console you?? The last day she was there the doc didn't even show up and that was when the assistant came and helped.

But she's home now and we're all doing better.

Last but not least, I really like my job but fuck my feet hurt so bad. 8 hours standing and walking around the store is fucking painful haha. Really hoping that my feet will get used to it (oh glob I hope so).
