My pet is a black cat named River :3 (she's named after where she was found, as well as River Song from Doctor Who, and River Tam from Firefly) =w=

She's a rescue, in that some friends of mine saved her from a storm a year ago. She was outside alone next to the river they live by, she was scared and crying :c

I ended up adopting her from them since they couldn't keep her because of their mom.
And i just recently got her spayed too :3

Well living conditions don't really allow me to have the pet I want, but I do love sharing this video at every opportunity:

I have a floofy calico kitty named Willow. She's a big scaredy cat and currently lives with my aunt because of my current living situation, I miss her so much!

I also work with cats at an animal shelter, so sometimes it seems like I have 60 cats! I get terribly attached to them...

    I've got a bunch of pets :|

I have a dog named Piper. She's half boxer, half Staffordshire bull terrier (i.e. "pit bull"). She's a diva and a goofball and gets everything she wants but she's so well-behaved to begin with that it's not really an issue c: We rescued her from a shelter down the road after a month-long insurance battle because of her breed, but dammit we were determined to get her. We've had her about 6 or 7 years now and she's a wonder <3 She goes nuts over pig ears (like nuts. I'll have to get video sometime). She runs like a dork, sleeps like a dork, and plays like a dork, and is just an all-around dork.

I have 4 snakes, though I used to have more.

There's Ramses the normal ball python, aka the snake who couldn't snake. If it's a thing a snake is supposed to do, Ramses has done it wrong. He's eaten rats forwards, backwards, sideways, "killed" a frozen rat by biting its tail, has struck at the sides of his tank, pushes his hides all around his cage, I could go on. I got him from Petsmart about 5 years ago (I blame them and their shitty care for his various issues) and he's my absolute baby. I put that snake before myself.

Adam is a lesser ball python and the baby of the bunch. He's about 3 now, but is much smaller than the rest because financial issues meant he was a little underfed for a while...He's bulking up now though! He's easily the most normal out of the entire group XD There's not much to report about him other than that he's super calm and, after Ramses, everyone's favorite lol. I originally bought him with a bumblebee female named Eve with plans to breed them, but I ended up having to sell Eve in November :c

LeVeau is a 100% het albino redtail boa. I got her a year after Ramses. I planned to someday breed her to an albino male (and may still in the future), but she may or may not have a slight neurological issue that causes her head to wobble when she stretches out. If it turns out to be a medical thing, I won't breed her. She's also a very...not aggressive, but panicky snake. She won't strike at you automatically, but if you move too fast or in a certain way she'll freak out and strike in a random direction. And if you happen to be in that direction, well XD I'm actually trying to sell her because I can't give her the time it takes to calm her back down, or the time she deserves in general, but there doesn't seem to be much interest lol.

And finally, Crowley the Dumeril's boa. He's the newest addition. I traded a carpet python I never should have bought in the first place (her name was Hellspawn for a reason lol) for him about a year or two ago. He's my second favorite after Ramses because he's definitely got tons of personality, but is still a sweetheart. He's got a kick-ass feeding response (better than any other snake I've had) and is the only snake I've ever had that actually likes to curl up in his water bowl......and then push it around and knock it over lol

I've got 2 fish tanks as well, a 10 gal on my art desk and a 50 gal that's technically my dad. The 10 is a betta tank, which currently has 2 skunk cory cats, an albino aeneus cory cat, and an otocinclus cat. It had a red butterfly rosetail betta named Bandito but I just lost him a few weeks ago. I'll be trying to get a new one shortly now that the tank has had time to re-stabilize itself. The 50 gal is a community tank with 3 marbled angelfish, 1 blue angelfish (the only one in the tank with a name, Boop, because he was fucking tiny when we got him), a silver dollar, 1 marbled hatchetfish, and a pleco. Really it's not a very good setup for a lot of those fish (it's too small for the pleco and hatchets really need a school; dad originally had 2 but that's still not enough) but my dad has that "I've been keeping fish for years with no problems so I don't need to listen when you tell me I'm overstocking or I can't keep this fish in here because they're too aggressive/weak/big" attitude -___- But, I digress.

.....Wow this ended up being so much longer than I intended :|

I have a brown tabby cat with white markings named Kratos, Tiny God of War, but we also call him kitty, fuzzy baby, and buttbutt. Yes, he does respond to buttbutt. We adopted him from an abusive home about six years ago (he's eight) and unfortunately his previous owners declawed him. Both sets. I didn't know that vets even considered removing all of them, but I guess they do.

He's a dork that likes to sleep upside down; he'll have his backside up above his front half and be tilted enough for him to almost be flipped over. He's very talkative, and is very bad at the 'scuse me game (when we come home he stands right in the doorway and when we try to step over him or around, he backs up right underneath your feet so you almost trip over him). He spits some of his kibble onto the floor while he's eating for no rhyme or reason, and he will lick the walls of the shower after you get out despite having fresh water all the time. He's generally not afraid/intimidated by other cats in either his home or at others', and has tried to make at least four different cat friends, but none of the other cats have wanted to be friendly towards him. We'd love to get him a playmate, but we don't have the money nor the room for another pet at this time.

He doesn't chew cords. He steals hair ties and rubber bands, but doesn't try to chew through them or eat them. He prefers wand toys over balls or prey ones. We used to have him chase after a laser pointer, but he quickly figured out where the light comes from, and now he'll just sit at your feet staring up at the device in your hand and meowing. He has a cat bed but only sleeps in it at night for a while before we go to bed. He's very active and gallops around the house, but it's almost exclusively after he poops. He also doesn't understand that he can pull open cracked doors with his paw, so sometimes he'll just stand by/look under the door and wait for it to open.

He's capable of being a huge jerkwad, but we love him and we plan on having him as a lifelong member of our family.
