Have you ever? by Donro
Found an artist whos is super talented technically like, anatomy, lining, shading what have you... but their style is hideous?
Is it just me that thinks that ;w; Not in a rude way but like.. you think they're talented but the way they draw certain things just ruins the art for you, eg overly anime eyes, overly fish trout lips, inverted nipples, hyper, cant draw boobs/dong or just every expression looks like they're in constant pain?
Is there a way to say that to an artist without seeming rude; like you LIKE their art but just feel an aspect of it is taking away from it.. eg MANFACE all characters, hyper dick ruining normal pics, vaginas that look like angry meat etc
I garuntee people feel the same way about my art so I'd like not be angry or upset if people said it I'm just curious do any other people/artists ever feel the same... like certain traits making something less impressive?

Unfortunately there really isn't a way to say that without hurting feelings. People form really deep habits over their development cycle, and they'd have to unteach the method before they could change it.

unless you wanna wait for that rare what do you think on their art or they ask for opinion you really can't say much unless you like pay them, or You can just like Have Huge balls and just say it out to them XD

I temporarily dislike certain aspects and weirdly love them later on. Nezumi and Kistunenone come to mind. Thinking about it, I might change my mind about lips too.

I dunno if i'd ever say anything about it to them, because really, they make the art for themselves and the people who like it! It can be frustrating when an artist you really like draws stuff you don't really get into, but I guess they do it because it's what they like!

Never mentioned it to the artists, but yes. Super awesome artistic skill, but one of: all inflation, nothing but cub, all horsedick (no matter the species), hyper endowment (nothing wrong if its just a proportionally large character), or absence of limbs (I can handle like, an arm or a leg, but not quadriplegic level). I could add more to the list, but I can't think of others.

Yep I've come across those many times before D: It almost hurts to look because you can tell the person is incredibly skilled but for some reason cannot get certain things looking quite right. Also reposting my comment since apparently there are two identical journals for some reason x-x I figured I'd contribute to the one with actually comments on it.
