Real friends are the people in your life who run to you and support you when you've lost everything. When you have nothing left to offer--no words, no hope, no status, no confidence, no money, no future, and you're so confused you don't even know who you are anymore--they stay with you. When you're such a mess that you try to drive them away because you hate your life and who you've become, they take you by the hand and say, "Fuck you. I'm not going anywhere."

I'm trying my best to sort my personal life out and get up there. It's all up in the air now, but I'm trying. Hopefully I'll get to see you and all my other friends from the North! And if I do get up there, I'm working damnit! I'll have a good time, but I want to lend a paw! And that's non-negotiable! ;o)

It's funny you mentioned that, because I was talking to Meezer about what a sweet guy you are and how much I enjoy seeing you. ;o) And yes, I would very much like to keep in touch and hangout. I don't make it to too many cons because I lack the means. My friends literally kidnapped me and took me to Fur The More. You don't need to offer anything in a friendship BUT friendship. You've been a friend to me for what 12+ years now? I'm not sure anymore so seriously another 12 or 20 we'll still be sending photos of Hitler and Elvis to each other and at that point it will be panera bread empire emporium or something :D-

Almost. Trying to get my train-wreck of a personal life sorted out. I pop in when I can, but the rl stuff comes first. I couldn't/wouldn't bail on all the amazing friends I've made. ;o)

I agree with this. True friends are for life. You may have your disagreements here and there, but you will always make up with one another and work things out. They are worth it, and vice versa. I am lucky to have a couple of friends like that, who I hold close to my heart and consider them family.
Friends like that are truly one of the greatest gifts in life.

You said it, fox! True friends don't give up on one another, no matter how rough things get. I can say with all certainty, from personal experience with recent events, that friends can make all the difference in a person's life. They can save a life, and make it worth living.
