Depression.
It's like a parasite that lives within you, latches onto your life-lines and nurses on your joys until all that manages to reach your brain is a small trickle of what you're used to. Just barely enough to keep you eating, bathing, and sleeping.
Mine has been particularly glutinous as of late and I've been reduced to just functioning.
I know from experience that with time it will leave me alone.
It'll drain it's fill- and once it's finally bloated on my elations, my arterial-like streams of joy that allow me to see the world in happier perceptions will gasp and start to breathe again.
Until then, I just ask you guys humbly for your wonderful patience, for it seems my ability to draw is directly tied to it. :(

I know what it's like. I have general anxiety and depression and they both fuck with my ability to draw (it's the sole reason my art updates have been so scarce for the past few years).

i know this feeling well :c if you ever need to talk, don't be afraid to message me. i know talking doesn't really help most of the time, but sometimes it's nice just to be able to vent it out. don't have to of course, but i'm here if you need C: otherwise try to keep your chin up <3 <3 <3
