For those who may not have noticed, I was one of 6 new staff brought on board as part of the recent moderator application process. And what's the first thing I do as a new moderator? Put in notice that I'm going on holidays for a month, of course! I'm such a public servant...
All jokes aside (the holiday was planned months before mod applications opened), I should have internet access during most of my trip, although response times will be all over the place - you may wish to contact another member of staff for urgent matters.
For those wondering about my qualifications, I've got over 10 years of moderation experience on reasonably large forums (including Whirlpool) along with 6 months on an art site. Folks here seem to have that certain type of nuttiness that makes it fun, so I can see myself enjoying it rather more than my last appointment. :-)
If you've got any questions, feel free to post them here (I'm happy to do a bit of "meet the mod"), but please keep them clean in line with the rating of this journal.

I'm a strictly digital shooter, so the difference between colour and greyscale is just a few bits flipped in a RAW file... that UFRaw doesn't support anyway.
As for whether subjects look better in colour or greyscale, it really depends on the effect you're after. Desaturation can hide quite a few screw ups though!
