Need some..advice?? by CurlyTailKita

So, as some of you may know...

I'm shit when it comes to picking a fursona and KEEPING THE DAMN THING.

And right now, I really like the design I have, like LOVE IT.

But of course, being me: OCD, picking, indecisive, basicallt just terrible when it comes to committing to ONE DESIGN, (Strangely enough I can commit to everything else just fine), I just.. can't.

Idk how to commit to it??? And for those who know me, have seen this going for for 3+ YEARS AND I APOLOGIZE SO MUCH FOR THAT. THANK YOU, YOU TOLERABLE LOVELIES.

But yeah, I love my new design.. but I also loved other designs and I just.. I'm EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. Because I just want to stick to one. I just ughhhh Idk how to commit to a design..

Any advice?

    There is no problem with having more than one sona i mean i love diesel and hes not going anywhere but i have another sona who is not crazy and out there ^.^

        diesel is really outgoing but he dosent have any quite or very blend into the crowd characteristics so i got another sona that is radically different

    I tend to only keep one but my mate is always changing fursonas. And while it is frustrating to try to get things commissioned for him or of us, it doesn't mean I resent him, nor is it a problem.

      Yeah I'm sure my boyfriend understands your frustration lol but I just want one sona that i can commit to, basically, I want to "settle down with the right one" so to speak lol

        What's you main issue here? We are always growing and developing, so why can't our fursona(s) do the same?

          It's the fact that I don't want to keep changing designs. It's tiring, it's annoying to me and my boyfriend and friends and its frustrating. Yeah, we change, but not every week and not to the point of changing 100% entirely. I'd like to keep a design as it, and make minor changes to her as I grow.

          I just want one design. A design that I'm 100% happy with and can commit to. ;-;

            Here's what I did for my first fursona. I was going through a very rough time and wrote him as I wanted to be. For instance, I wanted to have slight muscling, so my fursona enjoyed exercising, bicycling, hiking, etc. Likewise he would help people whenever he could. I ended up writing him to be the perfect me, then used this outline as a guide for myself. I did little things everyday to be more like him. I started working out, and volunteering. I kept him for a long time. So I guess the point of this story is maybe try reverse engineering a fursona.

    You need to find yourself. Hashire has been my fursona sincw i created her in 2008. She is my own reprisentation of myself and she changes with me. When i get thin/fat, so does she. When i haVe long/short hair, so does she. When im sick, so is she, etc.

    She recently underwent a redesign in order to keep up with being me because ive even changed physically and emotionally. She is still herself, she simply looks different now to reflect who i have become today.

    To stick to one, you need to find yourself first, and then create your own self image. Youll know when youve found your sona, trust me.

      I think that might be my problem, I'm pretty insecure and such, so I'm not entirely sure if I have found myself yet.. not sure where to start though..

        Let it happen naturally hon, dont force it. You know yourself better than anyone else does. Im insecure aswell...ive got my issies. I deal with depression, anger, and lack of self confidence every single day...hashire is mt image of myself as the person i wanted to be. Through her, i was that person and in time, i became that person myself.
        Your vision of yourself should be what you want to see...in time, you will become that person without even knowing it.

    I tend to have a main and auxiliary sonas.
    Hanzer is me - but I love Talbet and Liam too!
    So I keep the one closest to me my main, but don't necessarily use him as much.

    Maybe you should think on having a shape shifter type of sona? I've found myself personally getting abit irritated with always having to draw the same design over & over again for my first 2 sona's. So I decided to make a shape shifter as my 3rd. Just make a basic design that carries throughout each version, such as any markings, eye color, etc.
    That's how I got around it myself^^

      I've tried years ago.. i can't stand shapeshifting fusonas (for myself). I just want one design :3 mainly because I want a fursuit in the future.

    Pick the sona your heart cannot live without. Out of all your sonas, your bound to like one particular character more than all the rest.
