Content filtering on Weasyl by jonas

I know folks have different tastes, so I'm going to be making an effort to use Weasyl's tag system to more rigorously categorize my mature & adult work. Here's a list of tags I'll be using, in case you want to add any filters:

fsolo - Chick
msolo - Dude
mf - Dude on chick
ff - Chick on chick
mm - Dude on dude

Other than those, I'll be adding standard tags for species and particular kink where applicable. I also sketches and works in progress, so if you don't want these clogging up your new submissions, then you can filter them out using the tags 'sketch' and 'wip' respectively.     I would rather (and I think the Weasyl folks would prolly agree) see you use "male" if a piece contains any males, "female" if it contains any females, "gay" if there is only male-on-male content, "het" is there is only heterosexual content and "lesbian" if there is only female-on-female content. As for number of primary characters in the scene it's pretty standard for "solo", "couple", "threesome" and "group_sex" as far as I've seen both here and on E621 and imgFur. From a semantic point of view "mm" just means there are two males in the piece, it doesn't describe what they're doing or even if the piece is sexual. This way, if it's GAY content I don't want to see, but I DO want to same pieces with males in them, I can filter "gay" instead of "male".

    As an aside - tags only work when people use the same tags such that they're standardized somehow across an entire system. I've seen no such standardization here on Weasyl yet like E621 and imgFur have, so I don't imagine they'll be particularly useful here anyway. =/

    tagging isn't for content filtering like censorship if you're thinking that. It's to make it easier to find things with the search feature. Your msolo and fsolo tags don't seem very useful because no one will think of using that in a search. You see what I'm saying? So it would be better as the person above stated to use male when any number of males are present. Gay if there is homosexual activity. Etc and so on. Further you could put solo as a separate tag so that people searching for "male solo" will find more pics with males and no other furs with them in the pic. Pin_Up would be a useful tag too. This site actually has a well written tagging guide. You should try reading it for tips.
