Firstly, I'm okay. My husband, Jubei, is okay. We're both sore and bruised, but walked away with no major injuries.
I don't remember much of the actual accident. I just remember us pulling up to the light to turn left and looking up at the green lights. Then Jubei took the turn and I heard him go "Oh shit!" and that's all of it. The oncoming car hit us head on when we slid in a patch of ice. (Jubei also says the guy was going way faster than he anticipated, but it's so hard to judge speed at night esp in the sleet.)
Ugh. The car is also a mess. Pontiac Vibe (ours) vs. a Nissan Versa and you tell me who the winner was. It certainly wasn't our car. Please cross your fingers that our insurance doesn't deem it as a loss.
