So am I leaving FA over this whole Zaush thing?
No. I don't make decisions based on unsubstantiated accusations. Did you know Dragoneer has bought TWO Porsches with FA donation money? Yeah, me either.
That being said, I've had a profile on Weasyl since it was still a closed beta. Why? Because it's a beautiful, functional site. I can actually post videos- even live streaming! -as submissions, not just journal entries. Music and video submissions aren't stuffed down at the bottom of the front page, they're included with all other recent submissions. And I can organize my submissions into FOLDERS.
That and I don't have to wade through a thousand "Streaming Now!" and "YCH Auction" posts, but that's a fault of the community, not FA.
So while I'm definitely not leaving FA any time in the foreseeable future, I'll be simultaneously posting (and streaming) on Weasyl because the site is a better fit for my artistic output. You'll be able to watch my weekly streaming concerts right here, even!

Sorry if I was hella opinionated, I'm just saying I think its still fairly reasonable to leave even with a neutral stance on the Zaush situation. That's how screwed up it is.

Well you can follow whatever reasons you feel justify your actions, that's your prerogative. As for me, I follow the community and the feature set. The community here is growing, engaged, and friendly thus far. And the site itself is a thousand times better than FA.
But as long as there are people on FA, I'll still be posting there.

I think it's at the point now with FA that even if the truth did come out, the community wouldn't believe it. I fear we're too far down the rabbit hole for anything positive to come out of all of this.

If the implication is that the FA staff has lost credibility with its user base, then we'll see that reflected in the activity on the site. If folks like Blotch and Foxamoore and other high-talent artists stop contributing there, then the community will likely migrate with them.

I think I'm in a similar boat as you. Personally I can't fault the people who have left FA because of this latest fiasco: you need to do what you need to do to feel safe and retain your integrity, and as long as you're not actively hurting anyone else there's nothing wrong.
But I agree I like Weasyl's functionality a lot better than FA.

Truth. And already there are people leaving comments on my FA journal, butthurt because my refusal to act on unsubstantiated rumors and accusations apparently means I support rape. When did this fandom cease to be about animals and instead become an angry mob of drama queens?

Dragooner has probably spent more time and effort with the fiasco then he has Project phoenix since this has began. Shit wouldn't happen if Zaush wasn't part of the coding team, plain and simple. (Regardless if his accusations are true or not) Just my opinion.
