I just have no interest in browsing where I can only see a cropped closeup of a character's face in all the icons.
If you crop as little as possible when you submit, it will make me happy. :)

I typically only do so for sensitive content that are themes not everyone enjoys. aka warning thumbnails.
But otherwise I do agree.

Agreed. I'm trying to crop wide as much as I can, but some submissions are so finicky :/ At least that's the only beef I've had so far with this site!
