About to go to bed after working on a small personal work but I felt like I might as well give a shout-out to a couple of people who maybe of interest to you people, and who are active on this website:

Amber-Aria
A very nice TF artist(and quite capable in other genres) whom I'm seeing going around a bit helping a lot of new users as well. She also occasionally take on commissions though I think right now her queue is filled.

benanderson
A pretty nifty artist and programmer in my opinion. Has done some very nice piece for the FBA(Furry Basketball associations for those aware of that nifty little group) and apparently sometimes take on commissions.

Jonas
A very great artist I can't help but recomend more. He's one of the folks who helped motivate myself in using this website more, and who also got me into starting to use Manga Studio 5 and Ray Frenden's custom brushes. Does a very varied lot of commissions(though no TF work that I know of) in a variety of styles as well as awesome icons and badges. Do give a look to the many journals he wrote as well as his various artist tips, you won't be disapointed. And heck, do commission the guy, will you? He's got a most fair pricing rate in my opinion.

And last but not least, some of my personal favorites amongst the varied new artists I have recently met on this site, in a variety of genres and styles, both furries and humans:
