oh, wow, okay! thanks a lot, this actually answered pretty much all my questions about it. I definitely see room for creative organizing in the current system too, so this is making me excited :3 much appreciation for the informative comment!

I've heard a lot of ideas and suggestions thrown around for how the Character system could work in the future, such as Character tagging and such, and I can only imagine they'll find a way to do cool stuff with it eventually. Though it still works quite well right now for organization, as you said. x3 I'm really glad I could help answer your questions!

The Character page on Weasyl is basically a space where you can create a group of submissions dedicated to showcasing each of your characters.
While the Character feature is rather plain by itself, not being much different than a regular submission aside from having space to insert details such as your character's name, age, gender, species, and the like, it can be used creatively. For example, I see a lot of people use it as a space to keep their character's reference sheets for easy reference.
As another example, with what I do for my own characters, I use the description in the submission to create a "compilation" of links and relevant info. You can see an example of that with my character Tonta HERE. I've used headers and links to organize backstory and miscellaneous info about him, and started making a list of links to pictures that I've done of Tonta, and that others have done of him.
I suspect that the Character feature will be polished up to be more than just a separate type of submission in the future, but for right now? Do what's most convenient for you. :3
