    At least a few people have been trying out Weasyl, and there's a tool (Fender Bender) that's being publicized that makes it easier to hunt down your FA watchlist.

    So... a little of column Witchcraft, and a little of column Trickery. :D

    People coming back to Weasyl because FA is down and duplicating their watchlists in case FA stays down.

    Essentially what everyone else said in addition to popular artists mentioning via twitter that they have a Weasyl account and the fact that Dragoneer complaining that the tool being called "Fender Bender" brought even more attention to it.

    It's pretty much the result of FA being dead as far as i'm involved, and that "Fender Bender" tool that was maybe not so accidentally advertised by Dragoneer on Twitter, while complaining about the name.

    People need to be done with fa already, fa sucks, and this is just average for fa.
