I try not to bring personal feelings into my journals too much or too often but I feel like I should share a little something with you.

It has just been announced that FurFright has officially come to an end. There were rumors of it ending before and the staff reassured us that it would come back in 2014, however due to unforeseen events, that is now not going to be happening. I have worked with the staff and sometimes as a volunteer with the con and I know how dedicated everyone was to it. If this could be avoided I'm sure it would be.

I am very saddened to loose this con. I was encouraged to go to FurFright 4 years ago and it has been the support and the strength I needed to really branch out as an artist in this community. Each year it only got better until it became an experience I planned for and looked forward. It has thus far been my one and only con and realizing I'm never going to be there again leaves a distressed place inside me.

Still I have to be grateful and honored to have been a GOH at it's final year. It was so humbling to have people enjoying the t-shirt I designed and the con-book cover. I had the single best con experience I have ever had and I will forever remember how much the con and all of you who would visit me there meant to me.

I am hoping to see all of you FurFright attendees at other cons in the future, it wont be the same but we'll make new memories and have new experiences.
