End of March Update by KI-Fennec
Hey everyone. I have another update journal, but it's more on the lines of just getting things off my chest for now.
Firstly, I apologize for the slow art as of late. I've mostly been working on other smaller projects outside the fandom as well as enjoying some other fandoms. Basically stuff involving music, editing, gaming, graphic arts and etc. It kinda feels refreshing to do something different once in a while and learn new skills while sharpening older ones. I’ve also been focusing more on life and improving certain aspects of myself. Basically spending time with family, doing what I need to get back on track and getting ready for the next phase in life. So far, everything had been great despite a few roadblocks here and there. Other than that, I've been doing good!
Now here’s where things might get a little venty and serious. As of late, I’ve been tapping back into DA only to find that it's gotten way worse than usual. The A.I. and scam bots are out of control and it's just sad at this point. Like, this post should be enough to show you how bad it's gotten:

Seriously?! This A.I. artist sold over $25,000 on DeviantArt in less than a year?! I have no words for this. Also, I've had another instance of art theft again. So I'm just going to go ahead and permanently deactivate my DA account for good. Come to think of it, I might deactivate some of my other art sites I don't really use anymore. I've heard of another place called Sheezy Art so that might be worth a try. The scam bots are no better as they flood my inbox pretending to be representatives of studios and companies looking for freelance work. It's just sad how DA has gone downhill so rapidly.
I'm not 100% sure what my next move is going to be once I clean off a few sites, but more than likely I'll probably be working on IRL stuff.
anyways, thanks for tuning in and I'll probably have some new art out in the next few weeks.

It’s so infuriating that plenty of people are leaving. I’ll be deactivating there in a couple of days. DA is just another company that’s fell victim to corporate greed and being out of touch, just like EA, Meta, etc. It’s so dystopian over there.
I really hope that trend dies out soon.

I hope that enough people leave to make the site listen, but with many art sites NOT allowing A.I. art………it will probably become the home of A.I. artists. Sad as that is. It’ll be pretty pathetic if everyone left on DA at the end are ONLY A.I. artists. And if A.I. artists are making $25,000 or whatever a year……I guess people like that can support DA on their own. :p
I hope A.I. will lose interest in coming years, like any new trend. Though I suppose once a fraction of artists are embedded in, it will always be around.

I clicked on that link and I was like................is that even Deviant Art anymore? The look and the emblem/site icon is just so bland and mass produced-looking, if you hadn't said this was Deviant Art, I'd've never have known--it looks like any of those generically computer rendered websites.. And if they allow all of this.............are they even human anymore over there? There's a part of me that probably wouldn't be surprised if DA itself was being managed BY A.I. now. :/
A part of me would like to hope that in a couple of years that the "desire to use A.I." will die down, but I doubt it. It's just another tool people can use to do the least amount of work possible and still make money. The general laziness of humanity is utterly astounding anymore. :<
I hope that you can get things cleared off of site and find better places to settle down at. :)
