Hey all, it's SatsumaLord here; and while I am currently opening up new commission slots for anyone interested, it should be noted that I've recently decided to raise my commission pricing. As to why I've decided to do that, well, it's for a variety of reasons honestly.

The biggest reason being due to inflation (and I'm not talking about the sexy kind either); unfortunately, the rising prices of food, electricity, internet and other things have finally reached my neck of the woods, so I'm now having to keep things like that in mind for my own expenses.

In addition, for those that may not be fully in the know, a while back, a heavy storm passed through my area and caused a large tree to land on the roof of my parent's home. Fortunately, their home insurance covered a good chunk of the damages, but there was still a good bit that had to be paid out-of-pocket; so to help cover the costs, I've been dipping into my own finances to help keep thing running smoothly for them.

So, yeah, while this isn't meant to be a "oh woe is me, I need people to send me money" type of journal, I figured I should at least explain why I'm having to raise my prices, so I can try to be more transparent about this kind of thing. ^_^;

As for other news and updates, while I still have a variety of stuff from Patreon (as well as a couple of commissions) to post up, I'm going to try and only post up maybe two or three pieces a day for the time being, rather than just trying to upload it all in one go. If nothing else, to give myself time to address commission inquiries and to work on other projects, as well as to not flood you guys' inboxes with artwork.

Oh, and I'm definitely pretty late to the party on this one, but a few weeks ago, I had the chance to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie on streaming.

I'll admit that it wasn't the greatest animated movie I'd ever seen, but I still enjoyed it and appreciated a lot of the easter eggs they sprinkled throughout the movie.

So all-in-all, not too bad of a movie; and based on how well it did in theaters, hopefully we'll get a StarFox movie at some point in the future too; though that's probably just wishful thinking on my part. =p
