Devastated. 99% of old emails gone forever

Most may not think much of that besides loosing a few things of importance… but for me? I lost close to 30 years of email. Most of it emails to and from many I have met over the years, and some that ate no longer with us. I relied on these saves messages and conversations to help remember people by and events. As you get older you forget these memories or gets skewed on what happened vs what you think happened… DAMNIT. It hurt that a couple years back I screwed up my new sync program and wiped out all of my documents saved over the decades. But this REALLY hurt, and hurts badly. I haven't cried this much since I found all of my lost Betamax tapes from when my family moved from MD to VA. That was in 85, and I didn’t find where that box of them went until 95… found in a corner of the attic, wet from a roof leak, out in the elements for a decade, and most tapes melted together. Many hours of recording shows (some lost for good now online/anywhere).

I’m not going to be in a great mood for a while, just a FYI. This really hit hard. When my recent virtual server had a major hard drive failure, those emails were on that email/IMAP server. I had recently moved my sirkain email address to google, and was slowly getting those emails migrated. There was no easy way to do it. And now most is gone forever.
