Well sort of. I can play Pokemon Go, but I still can't actually do anything related to pokestops/Gyms since I don't have a phone. :3 BUT YO there's suddenly Pokemon that now spawn where I live! I can finally catch pokemon and do more than hatch eggs by walking around my house. That's so frikken great. I was able to catch a whol 8 pokemon today! That's way better than 0. XD

Oh. Theyre gonna do a thing today for swsh. Ill look at it. I kinda decided I wont be getting it so I cant feel any more hype over the release even if its almost release time.
I really want them to show more gen8 pokemon instead of variants. I absolutely love varients, but they've shown so little new ones. All the alcreamie forms dont count as seperated new pokemon, and I hope that is true with the company. When they showed so many forms it made me wonder if when rhey meant "there's now over 1k pokemon" if they also included forms in that count.

All they showed was Gigantamax Pokemon of Kanto Pokemon. BLEAH. :P I am rather disappointed......I kinda thought by now we'd see at least the next evolution of the Starters. I mean............the game's a month away. I'm holding so little enthusiasm for this game I haven't bothered to pre-order either (and I'm normally pestering GameStop until I can pre-order games). wry laugh

yo, I just saw the update after I wrote this and... ah it is indeed dissapointment. Its just a 100% marketing ploy. "Buy Lets go if you haven't for an exclusive" and "Preorder for something only you can get" which those meowth probably wont be transferable in the future.

And also............the fact that these Pokemon are "incapable of evolution", too. Really? It's merely a marketing ploy after all and nothing actually "new". I suppose the most useful would be Meowth, because you can at least earn a few Pokedollars using its move, which is just a super-Pay Day. shrug
I'm beginning to wonder if this game will actually be "finished" by the day of its release or if it'll add a bunch of DLC to complete the game afterwards. Some may say they're being "secretive", but honestly, I think the game's just not finished yet. :/

How do you play pokemon go without a phone?

I dont have an activated phone, so I can only use it within my WiFi radius from my house Which is just barely big enough for the game to register that I walk a distance enough to record.
I have a old phone that can still run Go, but its only use is wifi since it isn't active. (Has no number, cant call, no data to travel and get service).

I know. If I ever go out and see people playing, I know that they usually get like 8 pokemon spawn in one place. Like college and walmart.

Somehow I know we have a PokeStop near the Library where I work.....a staff member plays. XD
I also know Weedle are super-common around here! XD
Oh! Nintendo’s supposed to do some Sword/Shield thing tomorrow. I’m betting more Regional Variant reveals, so’s Kilo. XD
