I have returned from F2! by Zaezar

Fur Squared was a really nice experience. First time I had gone to a convention that sized. I lived next to MFF for a few years and I was super used to that. So this was a lot of getting used to moments.

I got an artist alley table every day of the convention. There were these two people in the room as well that were loud and high-energy and it actually livened up the room a TON and was very welcome. It was a slow convention for the whole of the artist alley, I was no exception. But I got to chat with a lot of people about piñatas and other art things. So I am content.

At a certain point I was singing "Hotel California" while wondering around the halls. Since I only left the hotel ONCE to get food. Everything else was from the hotel restaurant just because it was most convenient for me. They had good food so I won't complain. Other then me working the Artists Alley from when it opened to close, I didn't do too much. Hung out with people, chatted with artists, and grabbed food and drinks. Got to try Icewine for the first time and LOVED IT. So that will be a regular thing in my cabinet in the future.

Very few "bad" happened at the con. One of the days we had extreme winds and it blew open the doors a lot. So the hotel was freaking cold for that afternoon. The hotel staff had put things around the handles to help hold them closed but they can only do so much. Rooms stayed warm thankfully, and it only lasted one afternoon. We also had a lot of rainfall one day, followed by a freezing night into the day that people were leaving. Me and Seajay decided to stay the night and leave next morning because of ice. Good move too, since we passed probably 20 accidents on our drive at noon.

Lastly, I will say that I hope to attend in the future. See how it goes for me next year and all that. But MAN if this convention wasn't on the WORST weekend for me to attend ever. I had passed up on Curse Week in Destiny 2, so I couldn't do a stream series that I had wanted to do all month. Twitch updated their Emote system for Affiliates and Partners, so I had 3 people contact me for emotes (they are all patient with me, so I didn't lose anyone!). As well as a bit of a longer queue then I usually have BEFORE I left for the con. Had I really realized all the things I had passed up on I might not have gone at all. I had a good time there, yeah absolutely. But I just hope that next year isn't in line with a lot of other planned stuff else I might have to pass it up!

Anyways thanks for making it through the journal. I will start to edit together the artwork I made for people at the con and have them uploaded soon~ I had to take a day or so off when I got back as I was super sore. I ran from raptors on the last day and took a mighty tumble. Have a lovely day everyone!

It gave you a wider variety of convention experience, too! :)

Absolutely! And learned a lot about various conventions across the US too. Lots of positives from this experience.

It definitely helps you set up ideas for different 'cons in the future! :)
