Just what does it mean? by Ukuli

Today I stumbled on new term that I haven’t yet heard ever before. And if I have, I haven’t paid any attention to it until now. CG artwork.

So… to Google! ( At this point it should be clear that I don’t really take this journal seriously and neither should you. )

Along term CG found term CC. By the way, I really do hate when people use all sort of shortenings from bunch of words and terms instead of saying what it really means while expecting that everyone knows what they talk about. Not! ( This matter really annoys me to core sometimes because I really do have to search for meaning for them. Every. Time. Stuff I use myself are brb, btw, cya and wtf that’s about it. They are result of about five years of patient learning progress. ) Sometimes some stuff means actually rather rude stuff. In case you wonder I hate lolzspeak.

Well… to findings. Apparently CG can mean computer graphics. CC is for computer colored or constructice critisism.

And does it somehow save time from writer or reader to use these shortenings? I think it doesn’t really do either. Instead in best conditions using them are going to give headache when trying to figure out wtf it means. It gets even worse when someone using them doesnt get that otherone might not be that ”smart” to understand them.

Call me old fashioned. I dont mind.

Huehue. I just use simple ones that are common within a fandom.

Or if I am being silly and acronymize something to make it spell something else. Like A.S.S.H.O.L.E. and N.O.M.S. which end up just describing the word they spell out anyway xD (If you are curious: Annoying Self-Satisfying Hedonistic Ostentatiously Ludicrous Egotist and Nutritional Oviform Mash Sandwich/Nutritious Optional Meal Supplement)

Simple is best in these situations.

Yes. Chance of getting misunderstood is much lower.
