Life Update... Just.. Trying something by Cyph3r
So I'm taking a page out of a fellow artist's, keirajo, book and am gonna do a life update... Since I've not done much art lately, let alone art that I'm ready to post... My wrist has been a fair bit eff'd lately, and it kind of frustrates me, but I am getting... something done... I'm working on trophies/achievements for games. Currently I'm playing Okami HD on my PS3, and am working on some other stuff slowly. Kinda more working up inspiration levels than anything at the moment I guess.
In other news, my birthday is coming up!! I'm hopefully getting a -NEW- 3DSXL for my birthday. For those curious, my birthday is the 6th of October. X3
Otherwsie, haven't accomplished a whole lot. Wishing my wrist would just stop aching so I could get stuff done...

Okami Hd on PS3 is SO beautiful. Like, the team that did it did an amazing job making it even more beautiful than it was on PS2 and Wii, and it's actually also somewhat more responsive during certain actions like the brushwork.
And yeah, I had Tendinitis from the attempting 100-man melee in Smash Bros Melee 10 times in a row without a break... it happened at least... ... 5 years ago? But it's only actually started aching again in the recent year or so and only when it gets super cold...
and heheh~ I hope it goes great too. and no pressure to draw me anything. If you do get to do it, awesome, if not, don't be afraid to just wish a happy birthday, I don't expect gifts very often on my birthday. My mindset is generally "If people give me stuff, cool" X3

Since I don't have a PS3.........I wonder if I can get it through the PSN shop for my PS4? I loved the game so much.......searched forever and ever to find the artbook! I even bought one of Idess's (furry artist) beautiful pencil drawings of Amaterasu at FurCon some years back. And I have an Amaterasu head pillow, that folds up to resemble a plushie. :)
I could never make it through the 100-man melee in any of the games! XD But I work in a job with my hands and wrists (movement) all day long, so it's no help for arthritis--but, hey, I can now predict rain or heavy snow! lol
It might be something simple, but I can probably whip up something in a couple weeks! ;)

From what I understand,the PS4 doesn't have backwards compatibility for PS3 discs. Digital games can still be used on PS4. Also AGH, you have a PS4?! Dangit, I want one at some point! XD But yeah, Okami's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played and is literally one of the ONLY gams that has made me cry due to the story. That ending messes me up every time. And I had to play New Game+ 7 times at least on PS2 to 100% the game. >.<;;
and the only game I ever finished 100-man melee in was Melee, and it costs me my wrist. ;3;

Yeah..............Microsoft and Sony's big push to sell their new systems was NO backwards compatibility. But.............it sounds like you can purchase PS3 titles digitally and play them on the PS4. Which is weird. Microsoft just released their reversioned XB1 and it does have backwards compatibility now--which they probably realized they needed to do it for their poor sales. XD
After I went to AnimeExpo last year and saw "Persona 5" and "Disgaea 5" demoed, I started saving up to buy a PS4 and was able to scrape up the money (by skipping some comics for a couple months) to get a PS4 by the time "Disgaea 5" was released. I tend to buy a lot of my systems, based upon how much I may want a particular game--otherwise I would usually support Sega. chuckle
Was it because back in the age of "SSB Melee".........doing the 100-man one unlocked MewTwo? Or something like that? There was something big that doing that unlocked and I know I never did it! XD

Yeeeup... And ah.
And yeah, it was for Falco. You could to tons upon tons of versus matches, OR you could do 100-man melee. I opted for 100-man melee because it took less time.

I spent a lot of time in Melee......but I got tired of some of the things to unlock characters. I know I didn't unlock them all. chuckle
I do remember when Brawl came out and people griped that Lucario was a reskinned MewTwo.......but it didn't bother me as I never unlocked MewTwo and I actually like Lucario as a Pokemon. Even now, with the new SSB...I still love playing as Lucario. :)

The hilarious thing is that Lucario... Actually wasn't a reskinned Mewtwo. People were just trying to find something to gripe about and in long run, Lucario's the better smash character. XD

The storyline in Brawl.........I loved so much. The fight between Lucario and Meta Knight......! gushes
There are few characters where I can pull off the majority of their move-sets in actual combat........Lucario is one of them. Link is another, I've always been best with Link. I'm decent with Luigi as well. In Brawl............I was horrid with Sonic--but I dunno if they changed his game mechanics a bit, but I'm actually really good with Sonic in SSB4! XD

They did change Sonic a fair bit for SSB4. my best were Link, Luigi, and... Ooh, what was the other one...

Ha-ha..............then I didn't simply just get better.............they actually changed him! XD In Brawl, I kept running off the edges with him.............I think I had more self-KO's with Sonic than any other character. But in SSB4...I actually can do really well using Sonic...I used him a lot for those single-player modes (Smash Run and stuff). :)

How is the HD version of "Okami"? I haven't played it since the original PS2 version came out! :)
I hope your wrist feels better soon...as I have chronic arthritis mostly in my right hand/wrist...I know what it's like.
