Saiketsu, or Sai as she's most commonly called, is the matriarch of a thriving civilization of raptors. Her society is based loosely on mesoamerican (Aztec, Mayan) culture, and this warrioress rules over their thriving species in this world. Females are the dominant gender in her society, and she rose to power due not only to her prowess as a hunter and warrior, but her cleverness and harshness as well. While often one to jump to action and solve problems with force, Sai's sister, Setsuko, is the more calm, level-headed one, a priestess and Saiketsu's closest friend and source of wisdom. Though she can be a fierce and harsh mistress, Sai loves her people and is well respected, but she keeps most at a distance, has a mistrustful nature, and shares her truest thoughts and fears with the handful of individuals she trusts and loves. Her loyalty and care, once gained, is unfaltering, but once lost, she is a formidable and unforgiving creature. After clawing her way to the top, this raptor is a force to be reckoned with.
