Background

Umbra is born as a feral cat on the edge of a small suburban town. Throughout the forested area she lives, she finds strange shadow beings and an abandoned farm for shelter. Although the shadows are eerie and living is much harder here than in town, this becomes her home and place of power. On a cold winter night, Umbra and Lumi meet and find out they must travel with one another.

Personality

Street smart. Avoids humans/cars/etc. like the plague. Very flighty. Needs more time to deliberate, which can easily turn into brooding for her. Introverted. Easily irritated when around others outside of her circle, and she keeps her circle of trust small. She comes off as aloof, serious/tense, and overly quiet, but those who are able to gain her trust find her to be loyal and a great listener.

She's very moody towards new situations, she would much rather stay in her comfort zone than be pushed to try something new. However, when she keeps her thoughts moving at a steady pace, her practical thinking helps her to be very adaptable to new situations.

Visual Notes

Umbra is a natural cat, so most behaviors should remain cat-like. She may be slightly anthropomorphized for storytelling purposes (speaking in a human language to other characters or exaggerated facial expressions, for example). She's a mixed breed cat, her closest build is that of a Somali Cat.
