Thank you for appreciating the colors! I drew it in grey-brown first and added the hue shortly before uploading because I felt like it would be overlooked otherwise.
The situation was not planned. I just drew a grey space with clouds behind it. I never considered it was a wing on an air-borne vehicle! That seems highly inadvisable. I may have been subconsciously remembering a painting of an aircraft carrier that used to be in my bedroom, but once I realized that I did not consciously think that subject matter was important enough to go out researching stuff for.
