Armaggon by Phraggle

Armaggon

Phraggle

Armaggon is a time-traveling, cybernetic-enhanced, mutant shark from the 1990s Archie Comics " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures " comic book series. I dunno why he's any of those adjectives other than that Peter Laird drew a cyborg, mutant shark & the writers used him in a story called the " The Future Shark Trilogy ". I guess his name was taken from somebody's misspelling of the word " Armageddon ".

For whatever reason, ( most likely for comic book reasons ), Armaggon needed Hitler's brain and some other odd things to make his time travel doohickey extra mean & nasty. So, he's got Hitler's brain in some sort of upside-down fishbowl in this pic ( that's what that meat-product he's holding is supposed to be anyway ). I think the absurdity of his plan has sunken in and he's on the verge of a maniacal giggle-fit.

I dunno if anyone really knows much about this dude or followed the comic book but, I had to make a creative decision concerning his fingers. In the comic, he started off with three but wound up with four. I just gave him four cuz one can always use an extra digit. The things on his shoulders are some sort of implanted missile launchers. Even though the art was really quite good and it looked liked they had fun drawing him, the artists had trouble keeping Armaggon on model. They also seemed to love drawing him getting punched in the gut. It happened at least 3 times in the series.

Well, you kinda need Hitler's brain for basic* quantum physics, you know.

    *evil

Yeah, it's just for extra evil... although, one of the other components were the bones of the Roswell alien. Maybe those were for intrigue. :D

I do believe he can be found in one SNES game called TMNT Tournament Fighters. I played it myself. I might do have some of those comics laying around, most likely didn't have time to read them. Because I never realized there's a Hitler's brain used as part of the story plot. WTF! The such madness of the comic storytelling and high on kooky ideas.

Intersting to hear that he gets drawn off model couple times. That's life in comic arts, so many pictures to draw each page!

I never knew he made it anywhere else. Someone told me he's supposed to be on the new TMNT show soon. :-)
