Heh, honestly I feel like I've already seen it. Nigel sounds like virtually every atheist I've ever debated with; attempting to "prove" God isn't real or couldn't be all-powerful because "if He was bad things would never happen and nobody would ever do anything anybody else didn't like." The very same "a loving god would strip all living creatures of their free will and force them to do what he/she thinks is the right thing" argument I have heard so many times from people who ironically are unironically opposed to the idea of anyone imposing his/her will on THEM in any form or fashion. Nigel strikes me as the type who would fit this category as well. He doesn't want anyone even suggesting to him what he should do, it's not hard to imagine how livid he would feel at being forced to "do the right thing" whether he agreed it was the "right thing" or not.
