Sssooo...

This was supposed to be a birthday gift for HallowGazer:. I just didn't think my tools would fuck with me so much and screw my whole concept up!

I was thinking about doing this thing digitally at first just because I'm way way way waaay better working with digital media than with real media, but gifts are just way more charming when they're done with traditional media and you're actually having something in your hands to give to the other person. :/ So I had the brilliant idea of trying something risky like this with Copic Markers and Polychromos. e.e"

Well, what can I say, the blending technique that was recommended to me by various people didn't work the way it was supposed to be (namely not at all) and the markers didn't blend. I didn't want to screw up the background as well, so I thought if I used colored pencils for it I wouldn't suck thaaaat much. Well, nope.

Well whatever, I'm slightly dissappointed with how this turned out. It sure <i>does</i> look pretty good when you look at it from 10' away, but I don't think that's the point of all this.

However, the birthday boy apparently liked it, and I guess that's all that really matters. :)
