This is an attempt at making an alien alien, if that makes sense. I'm still trying to make creatures that don't resemble Earth life 100%. It's difficult to do so with intelligent life for some reason. It's supposed to be an amphibian alien creature. The life cycle should give that information away though to anyone who knows about animal life.
They have a spoken and written language and are self-aware and conscious of their decisions. I will agree if anyone calls them cute since I made them cute on purpose. They probably take advantage of their cuteness and either weaponize it or use it as a tourist trap, all for the sake of money.
For how far along they are in civilization, I have yet to decide. One thing for sure is they never had an industrial revolution.

They are a one-off drawing actually. It was meant to push me a little with creature design. I may still use it in the future.

It does look cute, it looks kinda like an upright eryops, or maybe a cacops. Amphibians are fascinating creatures. Do they poses a rib cage like some prehistoric amphibians or are they more like our modern ones? Do they wear clothes? If they do I bet it's not "dry clean only".
