Don't worry, though, I know the feeling. I'm a large part Scotch/Irish, and the number of potatoes my family eats somewhat reflects that haha.
We also drink a lot of iced tea, but I'm not sure that's quite as connected...-
Oh, you should try buttered mashed potatoes on a bacon (or other preferred meat) and grilled cheese sandwich--right in the middle, you have to kind of crimp the edges a bit to keep it all in, or it gets messy.
It's surprisingly good!
