About 6 years ago I sat down and decided I was going to learn to draw. Off to the far left is the first full body I drew. Before that it was all notes, headshots, and various body parts I copied from comics from eye. 3 years after that I discovered the drawing again, and figured I would remake it and promised myself that I would do so again.
Tracking your progress is important. Whether its you keep your old artworks around, keeping your hours you drew, or like me and make occasional redraws. You never know what mistakes you still make if you are blind to them from before. Really though, its for the motivation. I didn't know how I had improved between 2013 and now. I thought that drawing was still "okay." but seeing them next to each other... It reminds me that this whole "art" thing only gets easier. I've learned a lot about this stuff from the last six years.
