I know its so wierd to me. I barely draw at all for a year and then suddenly POW, are these my hands?
Is it better though? I'm feeling kinda like my previous styles have been... better?

Yes, it's better! A lot looser overall and besides anyway, you have the ability in those fingers to alter your style as you please (as you had when Dead Leaves came out)
