A simple sage fan. Used for wafting the scents of purifying incense throughout ones quarters. This one is made with partially burned ends of sage stems, a flight feather of a turkey vulture (artificial) and a piece of rib bone (unidentified).
To many the vulture is a scourge, a pestilent scavenger who feasts of the misfortune of the decaying. But to some it is seen as a cleanser, a noble bird fights plague and disease. A bird of revered intellect, as well as an aide to bone collectors everywhere.
