Yes!!! I did all my attacks this year with inkwash and watercolor. It was very enjoyable, even though my color choices were limited (I don't know how to mix watercolor very well lol). Hoping to get a bigger set of watercolors for next year >:3c
I'm trying to get back into painting myself.......I've bought a couple of watercolor books in order to learn how to use them better. It's been decades since I've really done much painting outside of keeping on trying to do it! XD
If you can find them--there's a brand of watercolors I've really found I've liked (at least--in the pan/cake ones.........I got these so I can take them to work and practice on my lunchbreaks). Sakura, of the ink pens and gel pens, makes a pan-based group of watercolor sets called "Koi". I've found them to be very amazing for a pan-based set of watercolors and they outshine some of the high-end brands I've tried. I bought two sets at Hobby Lobby, though I imagine you can find them anywhere........a basic set and a set that contains neon/brights and metallics. They're the best metallic watercolors I've found outside of the ink-wash types of metallics! The cases are really compact, too, with a nice removable palette and (if you like them, but I don't so I carry around brushes, too) a water brush.......so they can really fit everywhere if you want to travel with them. It's nice to have a quality set of watercolors with the ability to take anywhere and everywhere. :)
