This...may seem silly to some, but here is my "Spock Story".

I grew up watching many of the Star Trek worlds, but Spock always was inspirational for me. I went through several years of fibromyalgia undiagnosed. On some of the bad days, I would repeat to myself, "There is no pain, there is no pain," much like Spock did in one of his feature episodes. Did it help? Probably not - I'm not Vulcan after all. ;) But it did bring up many fond memories, and it did remind me of how inspiring I always fond Spock in his struggles.
He may be a fictional character, but even Spock admitted in his second Autobiography (I Am Spock) that to many he was more than that.

Live long and prosper, Leonard Nimoy. You are off to explore the great unknown. Many here will remember you and carry on your memory.
